Southern Carbide, Inc. is a family owned business based in Shreveport, Louisiana and was initially established by Johnny Walls in 1997. Upon Johnny’s retirement in December 2010 his son, Shannon became owner and is currently operating the business. We serve a four state region consisting of North Louisiana, South Arkansas, East Texas and Southeast Oklahoma. Primarily catering to the board mill industry, such as, manufacturers of plywood, particle board, oriented strand board (OSB) and medium density fiberboard (MDF). Southern Carbide has expanded its services and products to meet the needs of mill-work shops, cabinet makers, molding factories, door manufacturers and metal fabrication plants.

We’ve re-tipped and sharpened all sorts of cutting tools, including hoggers, cutter head bits, and tongue and groove sets. We realize that with so many of these cutting jobs, it is not simply a one and done operation, rather an ongoing process.
